Purdys Chocolatier — Braille Box

Picking your favorite chocolate from the box is a holiday tradition. But it’s a tradition not everyone gets to experience. So, in consultation with the blind and partially sighted community, we created the Braille Box: a fully accessible box of chocolates with braille orientation tabs, a braille chocolate legend, and a QR code leading to a screen reader with an audio legend.

My role: CD with Sheldon Rennie. Team: Jake Gauthier and Evan Kane.

Campaign Launch

To launch the Braille Box we partnered with members of the visually impaired community, including YouTuber Molly Burke, who helped us communicate the significance of this inclusive and accessible packaging.

Case Study

The limited run Braille Box was so successful that it sold out not once, not twice, but three times — which eventually lead to Purdys turning it into a permanent product. Despite being a primarily West Coast brand, the campaign was featured nation-wide by the likes of CBC, CTV, and Global News.
